Another walks towards the darkness,
Moving out of sight,
“Come back, turn back towards the light!”
“Don’t walk away into the night,
Turn back to the light”.
Sunlight falling on receding shadows,
The pathway to Him sparkles,
And water streams erupt,
As we find our way back to the Lamb.
Shining streams of shimmering life,
Flow from Him,
And we feel the warmth of His touch,
Angel song ascending on the air.
Reach out, touch the freedom,
Stretch your limbs and float on graces
Buoyant melodies.
Another walks away from darkness,
And moves into the light.
A Christmas Testimony
Well, as many of you know we spent December in Thailand, visiting friends and on Christmas Day I went for lunch and shopping with one of our friends.
On the way back I caught a Bolt taxi and said hello to the driver in Thai.
Initially, he was not very talkative, but as we got stuck in the Christmas traffic, we started talking about Christmas, and surprisingly he spoke to me in English.
He asked me what Christmas was about, so I asked him, “What do you think it’s about?”
“Is it the New Year for Christians?” he replied.
“Well, it’s when Jesus was born,” was my response.
He then proceeded to tell me that he was a Youtuber, doing vlogs on motorbike tours and was often asked to go to Europe for 2 or 3 months at a time.
This was his passion, he explained, but he also had a wife and child, so felt torn between traveling, work and his family.
He said that he had been getting quite depressed about it and that his brother was a Christian and advised him to talk to God.
He said that in the past he had followed another well known person in Thailand, but he had become a Satanist and ended up in jail.
He shared that he had also started to go down the route of Satanism, but his brother had prayed for him over the phone to cancel out this attachment in his life.
“What should I do?” he asked me, “I need guidance and wisdom to know what to do in my life.”
Of course, I recommended him to talk to his brother again and try talking to God, “You can even pray in the car” I said.
It’s not every day that we find people to be so open, but God can meet people wherever they are.
I thank God for giving us opportunities, which not only encourage the person, but us also.
He is always there when we turn to Him and leading us into the light.
Awesome witness opportunity! And you were ready for the challenge.
Great testimony Rebecca. Happy New Year to you both. I expect you already know about the Taylors having been deported 😔 But God is good, all the time, and our first service yesterday was blessed. Onward and upward with our big Shepherd.
Oh my goodness, no I wasn’t aware! So sorry to hear about that, thinking of you all.
