Today we have 3 examples of my experiences of spiritual warfare at work, be encouraged that God works through you to influence the environments around you, even when you’re not aware of it!
“We Couldn’t Get Through!”
When I first became a Christian, I worked at a community centre.
Once a month there used to be a clairvoyant session which used to meet on Saturdays and sometimes I used to have to staff the centre.
Obviously, I was a Christian, so I would pray against demonic activity, so that they would not be able to be in the centre when I was there.
One day I was staffing and the session finished early and so I asked them why.
The people who ran the group told me that they couldn’t get through to the spirits today and couldn’t hear anything, so they went home early!
“I Could Feel Your Light!”
Another time while I was working in the community centre, a girl who I knew who used to work there in the Pottery Department, spoke to me.
I was coming down from upstairs and when she saw me she told me, “I knew it was you, I could feel your light as you came down the stairs!”
The girl was a New Ager and we went for a coffee to have a chat.
I told her that I was a Christian and that we see God as our Father and that was what she had sensed when I came down the stairs, because we carry the Holy Spirit.
She couldn’t really relate to God being a Father, but she knew that I carried a different spirit and the presence of God.
Don’t forget that wherever we are, we carry His presence and change the atmospheres around us.
Cleansing a Flat
On 29th July 1995 I was at work and took a phone call from a lady looking for a medium to exorcise her flat.
She told me that she was having problems at her flat, and waking up with scratches on her back.
As the mediums were not there that week, after talking to her I suggested we talk later.
Later that day Sarah, David and Dave and Julie and I went to her flat.
As she showed us around the flat, David saw a fan on the wall of her bedroom.
It had a bull on it.
Dave told her that this was the cause of her problem and advised her to get rid of it, but she refused as it was a present form her brother.
We prayed with her and cleansed the place of demonic spirits.
